After successfully organizing the 1st International Youth Summit in Lahore during 2017, the Center for Sustainability Research and Practice (CSRP), University of Lahore is organizing a national level youth summit on 12th and 13th February, 2018.
The 1st National Youth Summit is the first in the series organised by the Center for Sustainability Research and Practice (CSRP), University of Lahore with the aim of bringing together policy makers, young people and relevant stakeholders to consider and discuss the role of young people in decision making and policy implementation with special focus on youth policy development before the next elections.
The summit will bring together young people from all parts of Pakistan together for 2 days in the city of Lahore, Pakistan. The main objective of the summit is to provide the young people with a platform where they discuss the role of young people in policy making alongside the policy makers. The summit will also provide young people with the opportunity to inform and influence policy makers on the issues that are impacting their lives. The summit will be an annual gathering of 100 young people with equal representation of both males and females including the ethnic minorities.
The National Youth Summit is divided in to four main pillars, tackling topics of interest to the youth of Pakistan, creating a platform to express views, present ideas and share their experiences.
Eligibility Criteria: Young activists, professionals, young entrepreneurs, representatives of NGOs, academics, and journalists are eligible for applying to be a part of the summit. The call is open to participants from all over Pakistan.
